Advent Game Door

Advent Game Door

Pick a door on the calendar to play its 60-second challenge.

How the Advent Game Door works

Santa’s gingerbread house has 24 little doors, one for every day from 1 December to Christmas Eve. On each day of December a new door opens. Tap it, the door swings open, and behind it is a 60-second Christmas challenge. Doors you missed stay open, so you can catch up any time until the end of January.

There are six kinds of challenge, and they get a little trickier as Christmas comes closer. Catch the falling snowflakes in a basket and dodge the coal. Pop the shiny baubles before they float away. Tap the stars in order to draw a picture in the sky. Sort the presents into the right coloured sacks. Stack the gingerbread biscuits into a tall tower. Follow the reindeer by remembering which ones jingled.

Every door gives you points and up to three gold stars. Your doors and stars are kept on this device only, with no sign-up. Before December, the round practice door in the attic lets you try a different challenge every day.

The Advent Champion certificate

When all 24 doors are done, a My certificate button appears. Type your first name if you like and save a big A4 certificate with your name, your points and Santa’s signature, ready to print and put on the wall. On a computer you can play with the arrow keys, space and the number keys 1 to 4.
