How to play Elf Whack
Down on the Toy Factory floor there are nine round hatches with gold rims. Under each one is a busy workshop, and the elves keep popping up to show you what they have made. Your job is to tap every elf who is holding a wrapped present before they pop back down.
Watch out for the cheeky elves holding a Brussels sprout. Nobody wants a sprout for Christmas, so leave those elves alone. Tap one by mistake and there is a green puff, the factory gives a wobble and you lose one of your three hearts.
Every now and then an elf appears with a shining golden present. Be quick, because golden presents vanish faster, but they are worth five times as many points.
Catch presents one after another to build a streak. Every five in a row makes each present worth more, up to five times the points. Miss a present and the streak starts again. The game lasts one minute and gets faster as the clock runs down, with more elves popping up at once.
On a computer you can use the number keys: 1, 2 and 3 are the back row, 4, 5 and 6 the middle row and 7, 8 and 9 the front row. The number pad works too, laid out just like the hatches. Your best score is saved on this device, and you can share it to challenge a friend.
